Become a Community Scientist

These special scientists are community members just like you and me. No advanced degrees or long hours required. All that’s needed is passion for science, a desire to help with research and the willingness to volunteer.

White awarded with 2023 Olav Smedal Conservation Award

Jeff White of Ames was recently presented with this award by the Ames Ikes and the Story County Conservation Board. White has been a longtime volunteer with SCC’s trail workdays, especially during Williams’ reign at SCC.
