Partners - Cambridge South Skunk River Tracts
- We are fundraising to purchase 247 acres of floodplain near Cambridge. currently owned by Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation.
- The 247 acres includes the South Skunk River and its historic meanders and oxbows:
- 45 acres of floodplain timber
- 52 acres of row crop, to become restored prairie and savanna
- Will serve as vital habitat for native plants and animals
- Will serve as important water quality buffer along Skunk River
- Property will be open for public hunting.
- Help us reach our goal is to fundraise $225,000 in FY26 and FY27, for this $900,000 project!
