The Story County Planning and Development Department is excited to announce that effective August 10, 2020 we have implemented online permitting. Citizenserve is an online permitting system that will allow contractors and the general public to easily apply, track and pay for permits online. The automation will simplify the permit application, review, approval, issuance and inspection processes. Development case and other related applications will also be added in the near future.
We will not be using paper applications, so there is no longer a need to mail, email, or visit our office to submit your permit applications. The new software allows 24/7 access to apply for permits from your home or office or anywhere using a mobile device.
