Volunteers can dig-in, in recognition of Earth Day
TEAM up with the Story County Trails Advisory Committee for Earth Day! Join Story County Conservation for a TEAM (Trail Enhancement And Management) Day on Sunday, April 22 at 12:30 p.m. Volunteers will be working along the Robison Wildlife Acres near Nevada.
Trails Advisory Committee members will be re-routing a trail at Robison that is too steep to be sustainable, so come ready to roll up your sleeves and dig in!
All volunteers are asked to bring a water bottle and dress for the weather; long sleeved shirts, pants, gloves, and sturdy, close-toed shoes are strongly recommended.
Participants will meet at the Robison Wildlife Acres parking lot, travel 5.5 miles south of Highway 30 on S-14, then 1 mile east on 295th Street.
If you like the outdoors and want a hands-on volunteer experience – we’d love to have you help with this Story County trail! Registration is required by 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 19, to ensure that we can provide a sufficient amount of supplies.
