[ARCHIVED] Conservation Technicians conduct prairie burns near Story City and McFarland Park

It's burning season! Story County Conservation Technicians burned the southern 15 acres of Doolittle Prairie (south of Story City) yesterday (4/4) in hopes of clearing brush so that native grasses and forbs could have more opportunity for sunlight.

Today, (4/5) they are burning the prairie at McFarland Park.
