[ARCHIVED] Story County Conservation receives $100,000 Impact Grant

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2025

The Story County Community Foundation (Foundation) has awarded Story County Conservation (SCC) a $100,000 Impact Grant to commemorate the Foundation’s 20th anniversary.

This significant investment will advance two major conservation and recreation projects: the development of the Deppe Family Conservation Area (Ames) and improvements to the beach at Hickory Grove Park (Colo).

“We are thrilled to be selected to partner with the Foundation to improve the opportunities Story County residents have to enjoy the outdoors,” said SCC Director Mike Cox.
