Are you looking for summer activities for your child? After taking a year off, Story County Conservation will again offer a variety of youth nature camps.
Special attention has been given to ensure we’re following COVID-19 best practices; while you won’t see the return of all of our standard nature camps (camps involving long-distance travel or overnights will not be held this summer), we have added “summer skills” opportunities that are sure to be popular! Opportunities will still be offered at every grade level.
All nature camp information is now posted here, along with many other spring and summer programs: https://www.mycountyparks.com/County/Story/Events.aspx). Online Nature Camp registration opens at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, May 3. Please contact our office with questions prior to registration opening as we anticipate camps will fill quickly.
We’re striving to increase access to youth and adult programming, recreation, camping, and more for Story County residents experiencing financial need through our new service assistance program, Nature Connect. Qualifying households can receive 50% off these services, including nature camps! Call Mid-Iowa Community Action at (515) 956-3333 to verify need and receive your discount code.
