The Environmental Health Department is proposing a new Tanning Ordinance for Story County which will be on the Story County Board of Health Agenda on Tuesday, 2/2/21. The ordinance proposes adoption of the current state regulation, IAC Chapter 46, Minimum Requirements for Tanning Facilities, while adding a section on prohibiting tanning facility use by minors. If approved by the Board of Health, the ordinance will then be forwarded to the Story County Board of Supervisors for review and discussion at public hearings.
