Derecho storm damage is extensive. We are still working to clear parks and trails -- this will be ongoing for awhile.
As of August 14, all SCC parks are still CLOSED (including all accesses to the Skunk River as nearly all of the river is impassible) except for the following areas:
✅Hickory Grove Park
✅Tedesco Environmental Learning Corridor
✅McFarland Park
✅East and West Peterson Park
Please still use caution in reopened parks -- stay aware of your surroundings and don’t go under or near damaged trees. Some trails in these parks have been blocked off; please mind caution tape and barricades. Thank you for your patience and cooperation. We will keep updating this post as we clear more areas.
