[ARCHIVED] FALL FISHING TOURNAMENT AT HICKORY GROVE ON SEPTEMBER 8

Story County Conservation will host at Fall Fishing Tournament on September 8 from 7 – 11 a.m. at Hickory Grove Park; with registration beginning at 6:30 a.m. at the beach house (67382 250th St., Colo) located near the waterfront.

This event will be a two-person team tournament with $100 cash prizes award to teams that catch the longest bass, crappie, bluegill and catfish. A free lunch will be available after the tournament concludes.

Registration cost is $35 for teams signed up before 4:30 p.m. on September 5; after September 5 the registration fee is $45. Teams can register the day-of the event. Individuals may register, but will be charged the full price. Registration forms can be found on our website under the “News Releases” section or can be picked up at the Conservation Center.

Participants over the age of 16 must have a valid Iowa Fishing License. All 2012 Iowa Fishing Regulations will be followed. A Park Ranger will be present at the tournament. Only electric motors can be used on Hickory Grove Lake. Canoes will be available for rental for a $5 fee.
