The Story County Board of Supervisors will be holding a public input meeting on July 20th, 2012 to receive comments on the option of permanently closing 600th Ave. to through traffic between Hwy 30 and Lincoln Highway. The meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. in the Public Board Room at the Story County Administration Building, 900 6th St. Nevada, Iowa. The Board has been discussing possible options to reduce dust levels created by an increase in traffic on 600th Ave. over the past few years. Paving of the roadway would be difficult due to road funding constraints so the Board is exploring all possible options, including closing the road to through traffic. If you have comments and are unable to attend the meeting you can email them to engineer@storycounty.com and they will be read at the meeting.
