Munch Your Lunch While You Learn About Critters!
Spread your blanket, unpack your lunch, and join a naturalist for a Friday picnic in the park. The Naturalist's Lunch Box programs will be held from 11:45 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. at McFarland Park (56461 180th Street) northeast of Ames on the following Fridays:
June 22 – Camouflage
June 29 – Ladybugs
July 20 – Squirrels

Each one-hour 'lunchbox' program will feature a fun nature topic that you’ll experience through stories and activities. This program is free and appropriate for children of all ages; bringing a picnic lunch is optional. Adults are expected to remain with their children. In the event of rain, the programs will be held inside the conservation center. There is no pre-registration required -- attend one or attend them all!
