[ARCHIVED] An Evening of Hope and Healing Community Event

An Evening of Hope and Healing will be held on Tuesday, September 13, from 4:30 pm to 8:30 pm at the ISU Memorial Union Great Hall. This is a community event providing information, community resources, and practical, everyday tools to better understand and manage mental health issues including trauma, stress, and substance abuse.

This event is free to the public and includes door prizes, refreshments, and free parking in the Memorial Union ramp. Highlights of this event include a highly entertaining and heartfelt presentation by nationally renowned speaker, Marti MacGibbon, based on her personal experience about trauma and mental health. Dr. Doug Gentile, from the Department of Psychology at ISU, will open the event with a facilitated discussion and interactive mindfulness activity.

The evening will include exhibits and opportunity for discussion with numerous mental health and substance abuse providers from Story County. Everyone in Story County is invited to attend! Check out the website link below for more information.
