The beach house at Hickory Grove Park will open for the 2012 summer season on Saturday, May 26. Concession with boat rentals and refreshments will be available Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from 12 p.m. – 8 p.m. through Labor Day.
Pedal boats, kayaks and canoes are available for rent; fees are $5 per half-hour. The beach house (67382 250th Street, Colo) is located near the waterfront at Hickory Grove Park.
Camping is also available at Hickory Grove Park. Story County Conservation does not currently take reservations for camping all sites are open to campers on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Camping fees are $17 at Breezy Bay and $12 at the primitive campground. Firewood is $5 for 10 pieces. A supervised youth campsite is also available to youth groups. See our website, www.storycountyiowa.gov/conservation, for a list of complete camping rules.
