[ARCHIVED] Letting of Bids Authorized for Haying at Story County Parks

The Story County Conservation Board is requesting bids for the harvest of prairie hay at McFarland Park, East and West Peterson Park and Christiansen Forest Preserve.

Harvesting of prairie hay includes only selected areas at McFarland Park, East and West Peterson Park, and Christiansen Forest Preserve. The designated areas at McFarland Park and East/West Peterson Parks will be bid as one lot. The approximate combined area at McFarland and East/West Peterson Parks is 18 acres. The approximate area at Christiansen Forest Preserve is 5.85 acres. Vegetation must be mowed at a height not less than 6”-8". Hay must be cut and removed from sites by September 15, 2014.

Interested parties are asked to provide a bid for the amount they will pay Story County per acre. Bids will be awarded to the highest responsive bidder by lot.
