Story County Emergency Management has a contract volunteer opportunity available for an individual with a background in emergency/disaster response to serve as the Training Coordinator for the Story County Coalition for Disaster Recovery. The Training Coordinator will be responsible for developing and conducting disaster related programs for a cadre of volunteers from various volunteer organizations.
The Story County CDR an umbrella organization made up of local service, faith based and non-profit organizations with a mission to strengthen the public’s level of disaster preparedness and increase resource capacity.
Experience in developing and conducting training along with Microsoft Office is required. An understanding of basic disaster response and volunteer coordination is desired. The Coordinator will be supervised by and report to Story County Emergency Management Agency.
