  1. Waterbugs: Expedition Camp

    Children will go on expeditions to find nature's wonders right here in Story County. McFarland Park will be our home base to explore. This camp runs Monday, July 26 - Friday, July 30. Camp will begin at 9:00 am and end at 11:30 am daily. This camp is only for children that are completing 1st or 2nd grade in the spring of 2021. **We will actively explore the outdoors. Expect that your child may be dirty or wet when you pick them up (including Monday)** Registration will begin May 3rd at 6 pm, and end on July 12th at 9 am. Please sign up for only one of the Waterbugs: Expedition Camps.

  2. Frogs: Adventure Camp

    July 26, 2021, 1:00 PM - July 30, 2021, 3:30 PM @ McFarland Park

    Every day at Frogs camp is an adventure as children examine the natural world around them. Please bring water and a snack, and dress for the weather. Masks are recommended. This camp runs Monday, July 26 - Friday, July 30. Camp will begin at 1:00 pm and end at 3:30 pm daily. This camp is only for children that are completing kindergarten in the spring of 2021. Registration begins May 3rd at 6 pm and runs until July 12th at 9 am.

  3. Try Kayaking

    July 30, 2021, 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM @ Peterson Park West

    Here's a chance to gain basic kayaking instruction, then take a tour of Peterson Lake with a naturalist as your guide. Paddlers will have the option to stay with the naturalist, or paddle around the lake on their own. Fee of $15 is required with registration by 4pm this Thursday. Participants must have the physical ability to get in and out of a kayak, and paddle on their own. Intended for ages 14 and up.
