The Analysis of Social Services Evaluation Team (ASSET) is organized under a 28E governmental agreement comprised of four funders (Story County, City of Ames, United Way of Story County, and ISU Student Government). ASSET assesses, coordinates, and funds human services provided throughout Story County.
ASSET released an RFP on Monday, April 17th inviting organizations to submit proposals to provide Emergency Shelter Services in Story County. For Fiscal Year 2024 (FY24), which runs from July 1, 2023, through June 30, 2024, there is $181,650 in available funding to meet the needs of emergency shelter services in Story County. Because of the established timeline for this RFP, contracts/agreements would not be signed prior to September 28, 2023.
The Story County Housing Trust (SCHT), a non-profit organization and a designated Housing Trust Fund, has provided a potential $100,000 in incremental funding (subject to Iowa Finance Authority requirements) in addition to the ASSET funding.
“In January, the ASSET Volunteers recommended that the ASSET Funders seek proposals for Emergency Shelter Services. We are excited to be able to follow through on that recommendation,” said Latifah Faisal, Chair, Story County Board of Supervisors.
For more information, refer to the RFP for detailed instructions. The RFP and required budget forms referenced in the RFP can be found at https://www.storycountyasset.org/. The proposal submission deadline is June 2, 2023, at 2:00 pm CDT.
