Robison Wildlife Area

29490 632nd Avenue, Maxwell IA 50161

Robison Wildlife Acres is a unique area in south-central Story County consisting of 78 acres. West Indian Creek forms the eastern boundary of the park, and nature trails wind through grassland and woodland. The park has been set aside as a wildlife refuge; hunting or trapping are not allowed.

The area is a favorite spot for spring wildflower walks, but please only admire with your eyes! Flower picking is not permitted in any SCC park.

History

The initial 58 acres were donated to the conservation board by a former board member, Clay Robison. The remaining 20 acres were purchased from the Whitacre estate.
