  1. Captain BushTale's Treasure Hunt

    July 20, 2020, 5:00 AM - August 31, 2020, 10:30 PM @ Multiple Parks!

Ahoy, Matey! Captain BushTale here, and I have a quest for you! Can you find my hiding crew? They are hiding at three different parks: McFarland Park (56461 180th Street, Ames) Tedesco Environmental Learning Corridor (1815 Plaza Loop, Ames) Christiansen Forest Preserve (55973 310th Street, Huxley) To find them you will need to download or print the maps I have made for you! I have left a trail of clues and riddles for you to find and follow to help lead you to my hiding crewmate. Can you guess what kind of animal they are before finding them? Let us know you found the hiding crewmate by posing for a photo, then post on Instagram or Facebook. Use #CaptainBushtale, and be sure you tag Story County Conservation! ~Captain BushTale Long pants and closed-toed shoes are recommended to participate in this activity as some of my clues might be off trail. The quest begins July 20 and will stay out through the end of August.
