  2. O.W.L.S. (Older, Wiser, Livelier Seniors): Climate for Change

    January 8, 2019, 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM @ Conservation Center

O.W.L.S. programs are designed for "boomers" or older, but anyone can attend. No registration is required unless you would like to attend the optional luncheon that follows the program for just $7.50. If you would rather not register online, call our office at 515.232.2516. As we experience an exploding human population and rapidly increasing pressure upon remaining habitat, the plant and animal communities that make up our planet's diverse ecosystems are under siege. Join Ty Smedes for a slide presentation and lecture as we discover many spectacular species of wildlife and explore some of the planet's most wild places. Menu: soup (broccoli beer cheese, tomato bisque, and chili) and salad bar (variety of dressings and toppings), homemade bread, and Oreo fluff dessert. Register for lunch by January 4.
