Starting January 18th, a new service is available to the CICS region. Crisis Stabilization Community-Based Services (CSCBS) are short-term (5-day) services designed to stabilize an individual experiencing a mental health crisis in the community by providing daily psychiatric services where the individual lives, works, attends school or socializes. CSCBS is a voluntary program available 365 days a year, and free of charge to anyone residing within the CICS mental health region including, Hamilton, Hardin, Franklin, Boone, Story, Greene, Marshall, Jasper, Poweshiek, Madison, and Warren counties.
