    July 6, 9:00 AM - July 7, 4:00 PM @ Will begin at McFarland Park and then travel throughout Story County.

    Campers will explore an Iowa river by taking an overnight canoe trip. Campers must have prior canoe experience or have attended a previous FLOAT camp.

  2. Naturalist Lunch Box - Animal Stories and Songs

    July 7, 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM @ Meet at the picnic tables behind the conservation center.

    Bring your lunch, spread a blanket, and join a naturalist for a Friday picnic in the park. "Music gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and life to everything." - Plato Come enjoy great nature songs and stories with a child. Help them imagine and explore the world with naturalist Heather Hucka as she shares some of her favorite books, stories, and music about animals. This program is free, appropriate for all ages, and will be held inside in case of inclement weather. Adults are expected to remain with their children. No registration is required.
